Ayrton Senna is one of the most iconic legends of Formula One, and this is an incredibly rare artifact from history. The King of Qualifying, The Legend of Monaco, The Rain Master.
Qualifying
Ayrton Senna is notorious for his unique approach to F1. Never one to leave anything on the track, Senna gave his heart & soul to F1 - something that is incredibly obvious when you look at his qualifying record. Senna had 65 pole positions from just 162 GP's meaning that he took pole at over 40% of the races that he competed in. An incredible stat that shows Senna's ability to extract every small bit of performance out of the car.
Monaco
Although, his 'Alien' ability to extract everything is perhaps best showcased by his record at Monaco. The notoriously challenging streets of Monte Carlo are feared by most F1 drivers, but the streets of Monte Carlo fear Ayrton Senna. In his ten years in Formula One, Senna had two DNF's, one 3rd, one 2nd, & SIX wins the prestigious Monaco GP. His sixth & final win at Monaco came in 1993, and that win crowned him as the king of Monaco, as he surpassed Graham Hill's five wins.
Rain
The 1993 season also saw one of Senna's greatest moments in F1. There are very few F1 fans who haven't seen Senna's "Lap of the Gods" around Donington Park at the 1993 European Grand Prix. The Brazilian lined up 4th and got a poor getaway from the lights - losing a position to Sauber's Karl Wendlinger. Not a great start, but on the exit of Redgate (turn 1) Senna got an undercut on Michael Schumacher & then immediately followed that up with an outrageous move round the outside at the iconic 'Craner Curves' on the Sauber. Up to 3rd now, with the dominant Williams' in front of him. Up towards the blind right-hander of McLeans, Senna made an audacious move on Damon Hill to claim 2nd. With all these battles, 'Professor' Prost had built a significant advantage out front. It only took Senna three corners to close the gap and took the lead into the Melbourne Hairpin. Senna would go on to win the race by over 1min20sec, as he lapped every car up to 2nd.
Senna
The 1993 season would see Senna have some sensational races, but he was plagued by DNFs that forced him to settle for 2nd in the 1993 World Championship. Goodyear supplied the tyres for the teams in the 1993, and this is Ayrton Senna's hat that he has signed. This is an incredible relic of Formula 1 history for an iconic driver that we remember for a plethora of important reasons.

The Auto Bid Extend feature ensures that bidders will always have a chance to challenge bids placed in the final seconds of an auction. When indicated on a listing page, if a bid is placed during the last 5 minutes of an auction, the auction will automatically extend for an additional 5 minutes from the time of the latest bid. The auction will close once all bidding activity has stopped for a period of 5 minutes.
NOTE: Current Bid Amount and Countdown Timer are not "live." Click Refresh to update them or to see if the auction has been automatically extended by a last minute bid.
A straight bid is a one-time amount, that represents the price you are committing to bid. The price that is entered as a straight bid can be any amount that is equal to, or greater than the current amount plus the minimum increment.
This amount will become the new current bid amount of the item (i.e. the item is £100. A straight bid is placed at £200. The item price is now £200).
If there is a maximum bid on the item, the greater of the straight bid and maximum bid will be the highest bid amount.
If a straight bid and a maximum bid are placed at the same value, the bid that is placed earlier will become the winning bid.
This system offers a convenient bidding system option, so you don't have to continuously login to re-bid. When you place a maximum bid, you are entering the highest price you are willing to pay for an item. Your maximum bid is kept confidential until it is exceeded by another bidder.
When a maximum bid is placed, the system will place bids on your behalf at the bid increment amount above the current high bid. The system will bid by the increment to ensure you remain the highest bidder or to meet the reserve price (if applicable), up to your maximum bid amount.
If and only if duplicate maximum bids are entered, the customer who entered the maximum bid first will get priority and will be the winning bidder.
If another bidder places a higher bid above your maximum bid, you will be emailed to login and place another bid.
